WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION (POA)?
Hills of Bandera Ranch Property Owners Association (POA) was established in 2013 as a Texas non-profit corporation. The POA is administered by a 5-member Board of Directors who serve 2-year terms and receive no salary. Elections are held at the Annual Hills of Bandera Ranch POA Members Meeting, during the month of January. Every Hills of Bandera Ranch owner of a lot, tract, or dwelling is a member of the Hills of Bandera Ranch POA and is entitled to one vote per lot, tract, or dwelling - as long as they are current on their POA annual dues.
The POA is responsible for enforcing Deed Restrictions and for improving and maintaining parks, roads, and properties owned by the POA. A majority of the funding for these activities comes from the POA's share of Maintenance Fees.
The POA owns the 16-acre community park, roads and access gate to the Hill Country State Natural Area, a Texas Parks & Wildlife Department park.
